Post-HLab14 Dissemination Session at Tech4Dev International Conference, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, 4-6 June 2014

The UNESCO Chair in Technologies for Development hosted by the Cooperation and Development Center (CoDEV) will hold the third International Conference on Technologies for Development and asks "What is Essential?" How to alleviate poverty in this world? Innovative technologies? What is appropriate technology?

Water Hackathon (Parallel Event; 6, 7 June)

6-7 June 2014 waterhackathon: Open Source Technologies for Rivers, Oceans and Lakes - Explore the Possibilities of Open Hardware for Open Science Projects
co-produced by BIO-DESIGN for the REAL WORLD and hackteria.org

For clarification on what this waterhackathon is, it is
- a satellite program of the UNESCO Conference Chair in Technologies for Development: What is Essential?, of the Open Science session, co-chaired by Sachiko Hirosue and Denisa Kera

Enrollment

For the hackathon, please register online prior to the event, so we know who will be joining us.

The hackathon will start on 6 June Friday at 10am. People are required to register on Friday morning at the Conference Registration at the Swiss Tech Convention Center on EPFL campus.
Everyone who is registered on the site above for the hackathon will have access to the Convention Center Friday all day.

If you are already attending the Conference, and you would like to sign up, please look for us in the main hall, where we will have an exhibition space throughout the conference.

Venues

1) Exhibition table at entrance hall of the Swiss Tech Convention Center conference venue
During the whole conference (4-6 June), place to show some prototypes, discuss, welcome people, last minute on-site enrollment etc.

2) Hackathon Lab Space within the conference venue
6 June 10 am to 5pm / setup the day of

3) UniverCity / hackuarium in Renens
6 June after 5pm, and full day Saturday 7 June. (24/7 access)
New biohacker space, launched by Luc Henry, Yann Heurtaux



At the ground floor of the conference center there will be "poster sessions"
