In the Overheadbots workshop you create a tiny solar robot that harvest its energy from the light of an overhead projector. Whenever the robot has collected enough energy it makes a pulsed movement. Through the projection this movement and the robots shadow appear as real-time animated shadow play. The workshop has two parts, first a technical part and second a design part. 1. Introduction to electronics

What are the components, how do they work?

  • what is a capacitor?
  • what is a resistor?
  • what is a transistor?
  • what is a LED?

2. Soldering the circuit
