Dirty Prototyping Exercise

In order to come up with a few quick concepts for the mobile lab, we were divided into groups and asked to make a few rapid “dirty” prototypes. This allowed us to create some simple designs without over-thinking the process. After 3 rounds of dirty prototyping using recycled materials found around campus, we agreed that the Mobile Lab, or at least the 1st finalized prototype of it, would ideally be in the form of an all terrain trolley that had detachable modules. Each Module would contain equipment and instructions pertaining to a distinct segment of experiments. Module A would be WATER TESTING, Module B would be DIY Microscopy and Electricals, Module C would be BACTERIA CULTURE and Module D would include any remaining heavy equipment such as the incubator, orbital shaker, pressure cooker etc, that could be used in combination with any of the others.
