I dropped science like a hot potato the first chance that i got. but i was baffled upon listening to the project that Spela and Robertina working on. i could not wrap my head around the concept of a human algae hybrid. we helped her perform the chloroplast extraction to inject into a zebrafish embryo.

we followed the step by step procedure to extract the chlorophyll from the tobacco leaves which was then injected into the zebrafish embryo. this was part of the experiment, hoping that if it were successful then one day organisms other than plants could use photosynthesis as a way of producing food.
