What detects: Cervical Intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)
Diagnosis
- Screening (smear) will only show dysmorphic cells and will NOT tell you the grade/stage of CIN. For this, a biopsy is required:
- Punch biopsy
- Cone biopsy (more extensive evaluation)
