Day 2 : Introduction

We began our class by creating accounts on hackteria and on guests.epfl.ch. We started our day with discussion of what science is and
its relation to art followed by similarities between technology and design and how Science and religion are a series of stories and
that art, design and technology were just creative tools and are mediums through which these stories are expressed, narrated.
I personally feel that Art does not move like Science. Art is more open to experiments than science, in science one has a set of
steps, orders and instructions lined up, whereas in art one can simply go out and Explore, Experiment & Design to Create. I’ am not
saying that science is not open to experiments or science does not create new things, it’s just that I find it to rigid and inflexible.
We then moved on to other aspects and requirements of doing a project or conducting an experiment. We discussed the importance of
documentation, at every stage one has to observe, test, record and then come to some conclusion.
We discussed the experiments we would try for the next class and decided to conduct the Ganzfeld experiment and wine making.
