Kristijan Tkalec
Kristijan has a diploma in biotechnology, was working in Hiša Eksperimentov (Ljubljana) co-founder of “akademia za radovedne” and is now the Lab & Education Manager in Biotehna and K3. His main goal is to connect open source bio-lab project with students and to create first bio-lab in Slovenia, where people can do different projects (science, art,…), learn how to make their own labs and bio-art-hack workshops.

Špela Petrič
Špela Petrič (1980), PhD in biochemistry and has studied at Transmedia, LUCA, Brussels. As an artist she focuses on the cross-section of biological sciences, performance and art and collaborates with the Kapelica Gallery in Ljubljana. Her recent work includes Humalga: Towads the Human Spore (art-research project with Robertina Šebjanič, 2012), Circadian Drift (installation with Maja Smrekar, 2012), CTCAG – recognition (lecture-performance, 2011), Cladocera (installation, 2010).

Boštjan Leskovšek
Boštjan Leskovšek is a sound artist and co-founder of Cirkulacija2. As an unstable creation he creates changes, cleans through it, falls apart by repetition and tries to create a communication with the border and limit relationship, between the fictive and real, between the place and the space. Since 2010 Boštjan has explored the interface of microscopic life-forms, fungi and other biomaterials for sound and visual experimentation during the NanoSmano sessions in Ljubljana.

Robertina Šebjanič
Robertina explores in her projet’s various media such as video and ambiental installations and more broadly conceived cross media / technology within the context of contemporary art practice. The context of her ideas and concepts is often realized in collaboration with other authors, and thus through interdisciplinary and informal integration embodied in her work.
In 2012 she organized Interactivos?’12 Ljubljana: Obsolete Technologies of the Future at LJUDMILA digital media lab in Ljubljana where she was between 2008 and 2012 head and a co-ordinator of art and educational activities.

Aleš Hieng – Zergon
Aleš Hieng – Zergon (1984) is a musical performer with a BA degree in chemistry. His improvised live performances are characterized by analog-produced and modulated sounds and noises combined with field recordings, as well the use of personally created electronic sound devices.

Saša Spačal is an intermedia artist and a graphic designer with background in humanities, who has expanded her knowledge of computer graphics, web and video production at various workshops. She is currently working in the fields of graphic design, real-time interactive visualization and intermedia art, trying to connect various technological and biological organisms.

Maja Smrekar
Maja Smrekar was born 1978 in Slovenia, 2005 graduated at the Sculpture Department of Fine Art Academy in Ljubljana, currently finishing MA at the New Media Department. Her main artistic focus remains at the intermedia art field. Among others, she has been collaborating with Kapelica Gallery in Ljubljana for the last six years and with Aksioma Institute for the last four years. Under their production she has executed projects within which she was researching frequency phenomena through biofeedback and thelematic presence in relations to body, privacy and (inter)subjective perception of space. During the last few years she has been developing projects within the field of bioart with focus on living organisms.
